Our Story
Born in Sydney in 2023, from Italian origins and a singular vision, A.M.E. was created from one man’s desire to help others rediscover the true meaning of elegance, through pieces designed to stand apart with confidence, character, and individuality.
What began as a personal pursuit, the search for a shirt that felt distinctive rather than ordinary, evolved into a deeper passion for print, craftsmanship, and timeless style. Today, A.M.E. has become a community of culturally curious individuals: people who seek to transcend the monotony of modern fashion and reclaim an elegance that feels increasingly rare.
Every piece reflects an appreciation for artistry, refinement, and quiet expression. Inspired by heritage craftsmanship and a worldly sensibility, A.M.E. is for those who choose distinction over conformity, substance over excess, and personality over trends.

About our founder
Amedeo Pennacchi grew up in an Italian household where elegance was not something spoken about — it was lived.
Some of his earliest memories are of watching his father get ready for work in the mornings. The ritual never changed: pressed shirts, polished shoes, the scent of aftershave lingering through the house, jackets carefully chosen depending on the day ahead. To most people, it was simply getting dressed. But to Amedeo, it felt like transformation.
As a child, he would quietly step into his father’s wardrobe and begin exploring. He played with fabrics, layered jackets over oversized shirts, studied textures, colours, and silhouettes long before he understood the language of fashion. Clothing became more than something you wore; it became identity, mood, and presence — a way of expressing who you were without saying a word.
But as he grew older, he began struggling to find pieces that gave him that same feeling.
Modern fashion felt repetitive. Mass-produced. Safe. Everything seemed designed to appeal to everyone, and in doing so, lost its soul. Searching for individuality, Amedeo found himself spending hours inside op shops and vintage stores, drawn toward the rich prints and fearless character of shirts from the ’70s and ’80s. Those garments carried personality. They told stories. They were imperfect, expressive, and alive.
One of his favourite rituals became wandering through vintage stores searching for hidden gems — pieces no one else would have, pieces that felt discovered rather than bought.
Alongside his love for style, another passion was growing within him: the desire to explore.
Even as a child, Amedeo felt deeply drawn to adventure, movement, and discovery. He was fascinated by different cultures, places, and ways of living. While others dreamed of stability, he dreamed of distant cities, endless summers, and the feeling of being somewhere unknown. By the age of sixteen, he had already travelled to more than eighteen countries — an experience that profoundly shaped the way he saw beauty, elegance, and life itself.
From magical seaside resorts to ancient cities and hidden coastal destinations, those journeys exposed him to a world of textures, architecture, colours, music, and craftsmanship. He became fascinated not only by fashion, but by the emotion a place could evoke — the effortless sophistication of Mediterranean summers, the warmth of Italian hospitality, the artistry of distant cultures, and the freedom that comes with discovering somewhere new.
Travel became more than a passion; it became part of his identity.
That desire eventually led him to Sydney.
At just nineteen years old, without speaking English fluently and with little certainty about what the future would hold, Amedeo moved across the world chasing a vision of a different life. Australia represented freedom, energy, and perpetual summer — a place where life felt vibrant, open, and full of possibility.
Sydney changed him.
The city exposed him to a melting pot of cultures, people, music, food, and perspectives that expanded his understanding of beauty and style far beyond fashion alone. Over the years, he immersed himself in hospitality, events, and luxury experiences, building a career through determination, instinct, and human connection.
Yet no matter how far he travelled, Amedeo always carried Italy with him — its elegance, craftsmanship, warmth, and appreciation for dressing well.
Between Europe, Australia, the Middle East, and Asia, his travels began shaping the creative foundation of A.M.E. Every destination added something to the brand’s identity: the textures of Marrakesh, the calm luxury of coastal Europe, the colours of India, and the energy of Sydney summers.
A.M.E. became the reflection of a life lived between worlds.
A brand born from nostalgia and adventure. From old-world elegance and modern freedom. From the curiosity of a young man who left home searching for something different — and found inspiration everywhere he went.
